Trump doubles down on ObamaCare decision
Source: The Hill
President Trump on Wednesday pledged the Republican Party would have a far better health-care proposal than the Affordable Care Act if President Obamas signature health-care law is thrown out by the Supreme Court.
If the Supreme Court rules that ObamaCare is out, we'll have a plan that is far better than ObamaCare, The president told reporters at the White House.
Trumps is defending his administrations decision to side with a lawsuit arguing the entirety of ObamaCare is unconstitutional, a move that surprised Democrats and some Republicans and stirred controversy on Capitol Hill.
It's far too expensive for the people, not only for the country, Trump said. ObamaCare's a disaster.

(18,662 posts)So far, it's been bupkis. Republicans have been so focused on "repeal & replace" that they haven't had time to work on that second part i guess.
I expect Trump & Co to come up with a health care plan that is exactly like Obamacare with an added big wet kiss to insurance companies. That's how they handled the dreaded NAFTA. Scramble the words and present it as something new and improved. A sort of repeal and replace with Trump's name.

(5,914 posts)This shit started with Hillary Clinton trying to design a new government-paid healthcare model way back in the mid-'90s . Republicans have been kicking and screaming and pissing and moaning ever since. And in that entire time, they've offered exactly nothing. Crickets.
