David Stringer resigned Wednesday amid ethics investigation
PHOENIX, AZ (3TV/CBS5) -- An explosive police report reveals that former Arizona lawmaker David Stringer was accused of soliciting sex from two teenage boys in 1983. One of the boys was reportedly mentally impaired.
Attorneys for the House Ethics Committee have released paperwork to Arizona's Family showing that in 1983, the embattled former representative was accused of soliciting sex acts from two 15-year-old boys in Baltimore, Maryland.
The police report states that Stringer "did engage in sexual act with... a child under 14 years of age."
According to the Baltimore, Maryland police report, the two underage victims were at a park when "a man stopped and asked if they wanted to go to his house and have some sex. The boys went with the man."

(14,531 posts)I can give 2 shits if they exchanged sex for money. They were underaged and could not legally give consent.

(42,862 posts)The police report goes on to state that they went to the bedroom of an apartment and that "they did perform the sex act on Stringer."
The report states that the boys were given $10 apiece, and then the boys left.
One victim told police that "he has been back to see 'Mr. Dave' at least 10 additional times since the first time", and that each time, he had been asked to perform sex acts "with David Stringer," according to the police report.
The police report also states that one young victim also "took a shower with Mr. Stringer."
Stringer has denied any wrongdoing.

(160,527 posts)In June 2018, during a livestreamed speech at the Yavapai County Republican Men's Forum, Stringer commented that "there aren't enough white kids to go around", in reference to public school integration.[5][6] He went on to say that immigration is "politically destabilizing" and is "an existential threat to the United States." Stringer's comments were derided as racist by the Anti-Defamation League and ProgressNow Arizona, while the Arizona Republican Party denounced his comments. Stringer subsequently defended his opinion as a "value judgement" that "wasn't denigrating anybody", while apologizing to anyone he offended.
In November 2018, Stringer was pressured to resign from leadership positions in House committees due to remarks made to Arizona State University students following a presentation at a political history and leadership club. Stringer stated that when European immigrants come to the United states that "After the second or third generation, everybody looks the same, everybody talks the same. But that's not the case with African-Americans and other racial groups, because they don't melt in, they don't blend in."[7][8] Stringer subsequently resigned from his position as committee chair for the House Sentencing and Recidivism Reform Committee.[9] On December 4, the Prescott City Council, by a vote of 6-1, passed a resolution, "that demands Stringer step down immediately so that a replacement can be named before the legislative session begins in 2019."[10]
On January 25, 2019, the Phoenix New Times reported that Stringer had charged with five sex offenses, including two child porn charges, in 1983 while he was living in Baltimore. Stringer was subsequently given 5 years of probation and had the charges expunged from his record in 1990. Stringer confirmed that he had been arrested and charged with the offenses, but stated that he would not be resigning from the Arizona house despite Arizona Governor Doug Ducey's calls for him to do so.[11]
On March 27, 2019, facing a 5:00pm deadline to hand over documents regarding his 2018 comments and the 1983 sex offenses, Stringer resigned from the Arizona House.

(13,485 posts)Noah after parking his ark got drunk and parked two of his daughters. That's in their bible. Of course he was 600 years old at the time. Whoa, I wonder how old his daughters were? No, I don't want to think about this anymore. The bible gives me nightmares.

(1,979 posts)Do they really think that their sleazy past behaviors won't one day catch up with them? What is it with these child molesters aligning with GOP "family values"??? The hypocrisy is so stunning it just leaves me breathless. *THIS* is the GOP (Groping Old Perverts) - and they came too damn close to destroying our country. We gotta take the Senate - we just MUST.

I didn't alert on this thread.
Your innuendo is a bit hurtful, and unwarranted.
