Trump says Navy SEAL charged with war crimes will be moved to 'less restrictive confinement'

Source: The Hill

President Trump on Saturday said Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher who has been charged with multiple war crimes will soon be moved to "less restrictive confinement."

"In honor of his past service to our Country, Navy Seal #EddieGallagher will soon be moved to less restrictive confinement while he awaits his day in court," Trump tweeted. "Process should move quickly!"

Gallagher, a decorated 19-year Navy veteran, is facing multiple charges of war crimes. He is accused of committing premeditated murder and shooting at unarmed Iraqi civilians, according to a charge sheet obtained by CNN.

This is over violations to the UCMJ.

He could pardon, but would be more likely to commute.

And on a side note, the SEAL is innocent until proven guilty

presuming that does not involve his sudden passing, he will issue more pardons than any president in American history.

I have little doubt that anyone convicted of crimes during the Iraq/Afghanistan wars will be among them. The Abu Ghraib service members who were convicted will be among the first of them.

Thought our rules of engagement were too restrictive, and wanted to go after the families of terrorist suspects.

14. Sociopaths

This is a case of one sociopath (Trump) supporting another sociopath (alleged killer SEAL). That is a thing about sociopaths- they seek positions where they can get away with things that are criminal. They try to get into positions of power where they can harm and kill others and get away with it.

Some try to get into a medical field so they can covertly kill patients. Others go into the military so they can get away with shooting people. Trump is a narcissistic sociopath but is also a personal coward. He is drawn to authoritarian strongmen and killers like this alleged killer SEAL. These people corrupt the institutions that they join, whether it is business, government, or the military.
