....................
According to administration officials and people close to the White House who spoke to the Post, Trumps ire is directed at John Bolton primarily over Boltons penchant for intervening in other countrys wars.
While Trump jokingly suggested this week that Bolton wants to get him into a war, hes also been complaining that Bolton may have miscalculated Maduro and pushed Trump into a corner, in the Posts words. Despite the irritation, Trump doesnt plan to oust his national security adviser anytime soon, two senior administration officials told the Post.

Trump is lazy and lets others do his work--then whines about it.

(7,142 posts)when he was in a pinch. It looks like Putin told private Trump to stand down. Venezuela may be a nice location for a Russian military base.

(4,341 posts)and the repercussions to USA will be dire...I wish other people could open their eyes and understand exactly what you presented.
Someone on this blog said "we are better off having Putin rule"??? Are you kidding? That should be the last thing we should want.
I am not a fan of Bolton, but this time he is 100% correct, but the buffoon is a simpleton who doesn't understand and the fact that, like you said, he is taking orders from his daddy Putin.

(37,324 posts)We are better off with Putin in charge than trump doing what comes natural.
You hire Bolton, that way you have somebody who can talk you into having a war. And then you blame him when it happens. How does Putin feel about Trump attacking Iran? Trump has to attack somebody, in order to get re-elected (well, steal the election actually but...) so it would have to be somebody Putin has no interest in.

(4,341 posts)You are kidding, right?
If you listen to Bolton explain the situation in Venezuela, and you have a grasp of the reality in that country, then you would understand that Bolton is 100% correct, and that he understands very well the situation, the history and the repercussions of keeping the Maduro regime alive.
You may not like Bolton, neither do I, but we cannot become fanatics and just because someone we don't like says something we dismiss it immediately, we have the ability to analyze, to learn, and this time Bolton is right.
The danger is that the buffoon is taking orders form his daddy who wants him out of Venezuela, and my question to you is, if Putin wants Venezuela, is that a good thing for Venezuelans and the hemisphere?

(29,322 posts)He shouldn't have hired him in the first place. I don't want to go back to neocon nightmares.
As much as I can't stand Trump, I can't stand neo-con warmongers like Bush and Bolton more. Bolton was for all of the wars that Trump said was a mistake. Why was he even hired?

(4,341 posts)No, he is not lazy, he is just evil.
Putin gave orders to the buffoon to not intervene in Venezuela, that is more clear now, although to me it has always been very clear.
Although I am not a fan of Bolton, he does understand the need to intervene in Venezuela, he understand that if the USA does not act, Bolton has a clear grasp of the reality in Venezuels, and that if Putin takes over, like cancer, his dominion will spread through South and Central America to use as base to take over the USA. I am sure many think that is Science Fiction, and so did the people from Venezuela and other places where dictatorship took over and Putin helped thus owning the dictators themselves.
I am appalled by the lack of understanding that many people and Democratic leaders have with regards to the danger of not getting the Maduro regime out presents to the future of the hemisphere and the USA. Putin has dreams of being written in the history books as "Vladimir The Great", make no mistake about it, and his definition of becoming great is one of invasions and toppling the number one power in the World, this is not science fiction, it is a reality.

2. Engage in a war.
Trump delivered on number 1, but not number 2. He's being pushed hard to start a war either in Iran or Venezuela, and in the end, he will do it.

(35,438 posts)Trump is at a major conflict between what Putin wants and what the Imperialist arm of the Republican establishment wants.
When the Republican Senate Intelligence Committee chairman subpoenaed Trump Jr. , that was a shot across Trump's bow. "Give us our war or we'll take you down".
However, Trump is also in debt to Putin, and he cannot cross him. Putin needs to project Russia's imperialist ambitions on the world stage in order to maintain power at home.
In the end, Trump is a con man who doesn't pay back his debts. He just finds another sucker to bail him out and keep going. This time though, there are no other suckers to bail him out.
