Nadler Cites Impeachment Prospect in Suit for Mueller Evidence

Raising the prospect of impeaching President Donald Trump, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said his panel will ask a federal court Friday to force release of grand jury information from Robert Mueller's investigation.

"We are continuing investigations of the president's malfeasances," Nadler told reporters. "We will consider what we have to consider -- including whether to recommend articles of impeachment to the House."

All grand jury testimony was redacted from the report by Mueller, the former special counsel, and has been withheld by the Justice Department on the traditional grounds of protecting the secrecy of grand jury proceedings. But Nadler is seeking a court ruling allowing Congress to see it.

slower than most of us would like, but I'm glad they are building consensus before going for impeachment. Yeah, yeah, the GOP would have plunged right in, like the assholes they are.

(I do wonder, though, what is going on in the minds of all those Dems who have not yet joined the Impeachment Train.)

I was pissed at Pelosi when she refused to impeach Bush. I don't think she will make that mistake with Trump.
