Deputy Director of National Intelligence Sue Gordon leaving her role

Source: ABC

Deputy Director of National Intelligence Sue Gordon is departing her role, President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

Gordon was told, according to ABC News sources, that she would not be named the acting director of national intelligence as the current director, Dan Coats, is leaving his post effective Aug. 15. The sources did not specify Gordon's last day.

"Sue Gordon is a great professional with a long and distinguished career. I have gotten to know Sue over the past 2 years and have developed great respect for her," Trump wrote on Twitter.

"A new Acting Director of National Intelligence will be named shortly," he added.

This is a developing news story. Please check back for updates.

I don't think trump can place an un-vetted un-confirmed "acting" stooge in this particular position. PSPS Aug 2019 #6

When he got the head of the entire intelligence community to resign, he didn’t bother reading the law.
The law stated the assistant took over the job, not someone he wanted to appoint.

Sooooooo, the woman, by law, who was assistant should have taken over the job, except Donald wouldn’t meet with her everyday for an intelligence briefing which is normal.. (She has been there 30 years, by the way)

So he has forced her to resign so he can appoint his person as Director of National Intelligence. An incredible additional piece in completing the “COUP”………This certainly will pleasure his master: PUTIN

That's all he wants (beside profits for himself) from his swamp people.

Apparently, that feeling of "great respect" is NOT mutual.

Of course, nobody would stop him anyway. Certainly not Moscow Mitch.
