Roy Moore defamation lawsuit against accusers is paused

Source: Associated Press

Kim Chandler, Associated Press Updated 6:48 pm CDT, Friday, August 16, 2019

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A judge has paused a defamation suit filed by Roy Moore against women who accused him during his unsuccessful U.S. Senate bid of past misconduct.

Circuit Judge Albert Johnson ruled last month case will be held on the administrative docket until a related defamation case against Moore by one of the women is resolved.

During Alabama's 2017 special Senate race, several women accused Moore of having pursued relationships with them decades ago when they were teens and he was in his 30s. Leigh Corfman said Moore sexually touched her in 1979 when she was 14 and he was a 32-year-old prosecutor.

. . .

Moore said Friday he went to court to clear his name and the court's decision is "very unfair."

You don't think it makes sense to adjudicate the victim's suit against him first?

Because a lot of the facts at issue in that suit are going to be relevant to his suit against others.

Sorry.

I thought the judge was halting the case against Roy Moore.

In this time of staggering injustice, I hope I can be forgiven for getting the wrong idea...

is the judge is letting the woman who filed a case against Moore for defamation (which he has counter sued her for) to proceed first and if she wins it will largely make Moores case against her moot.

I saw how badly he was riding that poor horse. The beast was almost being tortured. Who taught that fool to ride?

8. Thank you for saying this. I'm no expert by any means at all, but it looked so strange to me....

Haven't been around horses, myself, but noticed he seems to have an odd attitude toward these beautiful animals.

It really bothered me, had no idea how it's done properly, but did feel they showed he isn't a very nice guy.

Thank you, again. When he finally shoves off, the horse world will probably give a sigh of relief.

No one ever mentions his being kicked off the Alabama supreme court, not once, but TWICE because of his "Christian" supremacy rabble-rousing.
