Sean Spicer voted off 'Dancing With the Stars' after weeks of controversy with low scores
Source: Washinton Post
After eight weeks of low scores, frustrated judges, furious viewers and one instantly infamous neon ruffled shirt, Sean Spicer was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars.
Although President Trumps former press secretary was demonstrably lacking in dance skills, he made it into the Top 6 of ABCs competition series, thanks to determined viewers votes. That is, until Monday night, when Spicer performed an Argentine tango to Destinys Childs Bills, Bills, Bills and a fox trot to One Directions Story of My Life. (The episode has a boy band and girl group theme.)
Spicer, along with dance partner Jenna Johnson, was voted in the bottom two alongside country music star Lauren Alaina and her partner, Gleb Savchenko. Thanks to new rules this season, the judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman choose which couple survives for another week.
Its never easy to send anyone home, because I know that both couples have given your heart and soul to every moment of this competition, said Inaba, only prolonging the obvious. But for me, there is one couple that stands out. The couple I want to save is Lauren and Gleb.

Kind of makes you wonder, how much does Spicer know?

(15,536 posts)then I will never be surprised again about the large numbers of idiotic voters in this country.
We truly have almost reached the bottom of the barrel. Can any of you old enough to remember even imagine someone working in the Kennedy administration going on a dancing show and wearing lime green ruffles on his shirt, and then having the President sitting around trying to promote it?
Seriously, WTF?

(112,167 posts)for being Spicer's casting agent. Grifter-in-chief.
That a sitting POTUS follows and promotes reality TV crap is mind-blowing.

(9,426 posts)The contestants who have appeared on the show have all been (R)'s. I do not know if this is because maybe the people who line up the "stars" are (R)'s or if they tried to recruit (D)'s and were laughed out of the room. Tom Delay and Rick Perry tried to win over people. Either that, or they were desperate for the money. This gig pays well. I wonder if Sarah Huckerbee Sanders is next? Maybe they can sober up Grisham and get her on?

(15,536 posts)I actually watched it back then and OMG, was he ever a disgrace. However, I wasn't surprised he would do something like that since his "talk show" was an abomination also.

(9,426 posts)Jerry IS in the entertainment industry, however. His reason for being on was valid, he wanted to dance with his daughter at her wedding. I actually cringed when he "danced" but I used to watch the show. Now it is blatantly obvious that the worst ones are kept on, the better ones are sent home.

(4,341 posts)Their lives are now ruined, whether they left in good standing with the creature or not, the dislike by the public in general will make sure their lives are not the glamour they expected them to be after the gig inside the swamp.
And Nikki Haley will find out soon enough. This morning during the "Today" show she told Samantha that she squealed on Tillerson and Kelly telling the creature the two of them were "conspiring" against him. She was proud to tell that to Samantha, where most people would be ashamed for that kind of behaviour.
The creature has been such a profound negative force in our country that many people, and I am one of them, have developed negative feelings towards other people. I have always been a positive and optimistic person, never wished anyone bad until now, and I find that horrendous, it really freaks me out when I get those negative thoughts, I don't want to be like that, but it seems that it is almost like self-defense where someone wants to harm you, and to protect oneself, one fights back and hurts the other.

(2,895 posts)It's like I finally woke up. I mean, I knew they sucked (a lot), but I had never quite imagined the bottomless pit of their deplorability, shamelessness and utter lack of principle. (And that includes my family of origin.)

Embarrassed for him as they may be.
Meanwhile, Trump will tell us more people watched Spicer than in any DWTS's episode ever.
