The Hill Announces That It Is Reviewing Old John Solomon Columns
Source: The Hill
The Hill Editor-In-Chief Bob Cusack sent out a memo to the staff Monday, alerting them that old opinion columns written by former editorialist John Solomon and referenced frequently in the impeachment inquiry may be annotated, corrected or fact-checked.

Solomon worked in concert with Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas and published pieces that touched off a smear campaign at the heart of the impeachment inquiry.
He published one article including claims from Yuriy Lutsenko, then Ukraines top prosecutor, that a U.S. diplomat presented him with a list of people not to prosecute.

Better still, The Hill, write apology comments before each of his historically inaccurate hit pieces so your simpleton right-wing thumb suckers will know what they are reading is pure made up bullshit.

The Hill is reviewing the work of former "opinion contributor" John Solomon, whose pieces on Ukraine have received brutal criticism from witnesses in the impeachment inquiry. Below is the text of an email to The Hill's staff from Editor in Chief Bob Cusack.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Solomon_(political_commentator)
John F. Solomon is an American media executive, and a conservative political commentator. He was an editorialist and executive vice president of digital video for The Hill[1] and as of October, 2019, is a contributor to Fox News.[2] He was formerly employed as an executive and as editor-in-chief at The Washington Times.[3]
While he won a number of prestigious awards for his investigative journalism in the 1990s and 2000s,[4][5] he has also been accused of magnifying small scandals and creating fake controversy.[6][7][8] During Donald Trump's presidency, he has been known for advancing Trump-friendly stories. He played a role in advancing conspiracy theories about wrong-doing involving Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden and Ukraine; Solomon's stories about the Bidens influenced President Trump to request that the Ukrainian president launch an investigation into 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, which led to an impeachment inquiry into President Trump.[2]

On November 22, 2015, a few former Circa employees reported that the CircaNews.com website was again active, stating a simple message that "Circa will be back soon...". A report by the Nieman Journalism Lab said that the site's domain name was registered a month earlier to Sinclair Broadcast Group.[20] Sinclair confirmed on 7 December 2015, that it had acquired Circa News, its intellectual property and assets earlier in 2015, and aimed to relaunch Circa in spring 2016.[5] The acquisition of Circa was to be funded by a Sinclair subsidiary (Sinclair Digital Ventures) and potentially other investors. Circa CEO Matt Galligan mentioned at its closure the previous June that the company could sell or "white-label" its technology to a news-producing company for use in its own apps.[20]
The revived Circa formally went live on 18 July 2016 with a redesigned app and a website using a new URL, Circa.com.[21] From December 2016, Circa was led by the chief operating officer John Solomon, the former vice-president of content and business development for the Washington Times. Solomon was hired by Sinclair as Circa's chief creative officer in December 2015.[22] Solomon left Circa to join The Hill in July 2017.[23]
...
Circa's reporting has been characterized by other media outlets as conservative.[7][24][8] Circa attracted attention for its reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 election, which broke many stories seen to be favorable to the Trump administration.[7] According to The Hill, Circa's reporting on Russian interference has "only a peripheral focus on whether anyone in Trumps inner circle had contact with Russian officials during the campaign".[7]
It has been reported that Sinclair had made an agreement with the Trump campaign to be given greater access in exchange for favorable coverage.[7][6] Solomon said that reporting in many mainstream outlets was "reckless, false, unfair and imbalanced".[7]

Something fishy?
John Solomon had grand plans for the digital future of the Center for Public Integrity. But there was always a catch...
Long, detailed story showing that Solomon is a piece of work, to put it kindly. He has a reputation going back enough years that what happened at The Hill should not have surprised anyone.

(22,669 posts)9. Exactly. So why The Hill seems to claim they had no idea what he was up to, boggles the mind.
No way they didn't know. They put him on the payroll to sell ads.
