US president Donald Trump has continued his attacks on ousted US ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and other witnesses in the House impeachment inquiry into whether he abused his office to pressure Ukraine to announce an investigation into political rivals.

"The ambassador, the woman" was an "Obama person", Mr Trump said in a phone interview with the Fox and Friends programme on Friday morning. "I said, why are you being so kind? Well, sir, she's a woman, we have to be nice. She's very tough, I heard bad things."

"This ambassador, that everybody says is so wonderful, she wouldn't hang my picture in the embassy, okay?'' Mr Trump said. "She's in charge of the embassy. She wouldn't hang it. It took like a year and a half or two years to get the picture up. She said bad things about me, she wouldn't defend me, and I have the right to change an ambassador."

hang a different photo . Apparently it took more than a year for an official photo to be sent to embassies, and federal agencies - and also an order was sent not to hang an unofficial photo (i.e. don't hang any other image *but* the official one.)

Everytime I looked at Bush's photo hanging in my school's office I wanted to puke. On Presidents' Day I never mentioned his name or the fact that he was the current POTUS to my 1st graders. I definately let them know when Clinton and Obama were in office though. I chose not to hang the Weekly Reader picture of Bush too.

According to CNN the blame for the delay in hanging Trump's photo lies with Trump. According to a guest on CNN, all foreign embassies were late in putting up Trump's photo because Trump took so long to take the photo. According to the CNN guest, it took Trump about nine months to take his photo. That caused all the embassies to be late in putting up his photo.
