Why? Any comment from GOP lawmakers? Surely their constituents want to know how to protect themselves and want the latest info right from the source. Is this just a setup to claim that the outlets Trump doesn’t like are lying and scaremongering?

When reporters had to use shorthand - there was no audio or video. We are there again - learn it and get every word, and then transcribe it. I do it all the time, or just type as fast as people talk. I don't care what they look like - they all look like crooks. I care what they say.

They didn't have any of them fancy record-the-voices-on-tape machines. They had to take notes. The faster they were at shorthand, the better a reporter they were. That's what made Clark Kent such a good reporter. Super fast note taker.
