Dr Anthony S Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and just about the only official in the Trump administration trusted to tell the truth about the coronavirus, said last Thursday: “The system does not, is not really geared to what we need right now … It is a failing, let’s admit it.”



While we’re at it, let’s admit something more basic. The system would be failing even under a halfway competent president. The dirty little secret, which will soon become apparent to all, is that there is no real public health system in the United States.

It is not falling behind, it never even made it to the starting gate. America stands rather mesmerized and looking for the gate while other countries heard the starting gun and are off in the distance.

I thought most of them upper middle class early retireds. And do they issue stock certificates in us libs? Must be quite the bragging rights.

just like we have wealthy and poor liberals. And everything in between.

The upper middle class have nice health insurance and get the best care money can buy while telling the lower middle class and working class conservatives they don't need insurance because Obamacare is socialism. Trump also did away with the tax penalty for being uninsured.

They hate that phrase “for the common good.” To them, that means giving away “free stuff” to people who don’t deserve it.
