Trump 'didn't know' about cutting pandemic office, but Sherrod Brown letter shows otherwise

During a press conference Friday afternoon about the federal governments response to the coronavirus outbreak, Trump was asked what responsibility he took for disbanding the White House office almost two years ago that had been set up to manage Americas response to pandemics.
Trump called it a nasty question, claimed I didnt do it and twice maintained I dont know anything about it.
Brown quickly took to Twitter: Not true, @realDonaldTrump. I wrote to you more than 600 days ago demanding answers after you fired the entire White House pandemic team.
And the senator provided proof: a two-page letter to the president dated May 18, 2018.

(3,321 posts)He just didn't care. He still doesn't care. Everything is about deals, angles, and appearance. Reality does not apply. Real world consequence does not apply.
The real question is, in my opinion, will any of his supporters understand what any of this means regarding the future - their future. I think not. Then again, I am not an optimist - so please take my rants with a grain - salt optional, for those on low salt diets.
