Trump 'didn't know' about cutting pandemic office, but Sherrod Brown letter shows otherwise

Source: The Columbus Dispatch

During a press conference Friday afternoon about the federal government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak, Trump was asked what responsibility he took for disbanding the White House office almost two years ago that had been set up to manage America’s response to pandemics.

Trump called it a “nasty question,” claimed “I didn’t do it” and twice maintained “I don’t know anything about it.”

Brown quickly took to Twitter: “Not true, @realDonaldTrump. I wrote to you more than 600 days ago demanding answers after you fired the entire White House pandemic team.”

And the senator provided proof: a two-page letter to the president dated May 18, 2018.

for this stuff to come out in the news? If I were Senator Brown I would have had this on the Twitter machine within minutes! Perhaps he did and I missed it?

If you thought the team was so bad that you needed to shut it down, then why didn’t you replace it with something more effective? Sikence.

Since he lies constantly and is ignorant about topics that don't interest him, it makes it dangerous for all of us. Presidenting is hard work and requires someone with an intellect and integrity. He lacks both.

He just didn't care. He still doesn't care. Everything is about deals, angles, and appearance. Reality does not apply. Real world consequence does not apply.

The real question is, in my opinion, will any of his supporters understand what any of this means regarding the future - their future. I think not. Then again, I am not an optimist - so please take my rants with a grain - salt optional, for those on low salt diets.

Rarely will that fact that his henchmen axed that program with his blessing be brought to the attention of the vast majority of Americans.

The man won't read a whole fortune from a fortune cookie!

"If you fail to learn of--and from-- history . . . blah, blah, blah. I don't see any money. How is it a fortune cookie if there's no money? I'll get those Chinese for this. Trade War!"

That if true (unlikely as it came from his pie hole) but even so, it would show he doesn't know what is going on in the WH.

Your post reminds me of the old Judy Tenuta joke.
"I got stopped and my car was searched as I was driving through Tennessee. ...I got charged with smuggling books, but I got off because they couldn't prove it!"
