FEMA administrator says more masks are being shipped from stockpile amid shortage

Source: ABC news

Critical medical gear is still in short supply as the nation grapples with new coronavirus, but Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Peter Gaynor said on ABC's "This Week," that masks are in the midst of shipping from the national stockpile, but could not provide details on a concrete timeline.

"They're shipping today, they shipped yesterday, they'll ship tomorrow," Gaynor said on Sunday.

"When you say 'they,' how many? Which masks? The new masks?" Co-Anchor Martha Raddatz pressed.

"I mean, it is hundreds of thousands of millions of things that we're shipping from the stockpile. I can't give you the details about what every single state of what every single city is doing," Gaynor said. "but I'm telling you that we are shipping from our national stockpile, we're shipping from vendors, we're shipping from donations. It is happening. The demand is great."

He could not provide details on a concrete timeline to meet the country's demand.

"We are shipping. All those supplies, to all the demands, all the asks, all the governance, every day, we are -- we're prepared to go to zero in the stockpile to meet demand," Gaynor said.

We're shipping stuff. Lots of stuff. Shipping it everywhere. Any one who asks. We're shipping day and night. Shipping, shipping, shipping. Doing a fantastic job. People can't believe how fantastic it is. Shipping stuff. Lots and lots of stuff.

One would think the head of FEMA would have a clue about what's being prioritized and where during the greatest pandemic in over a century and might give those in hard hit areas a little reassurance that their government is actually stepping up and doing it's goddamn job. But oh no. What we get is a Donnie minnie me. And we thought "Brownie" didn't have a fucking clue what he was doing.

Trump is spreading the lies around his administration a little better now. He used to tell them all.......now getting close to 20,000 since taking office, by last count, but he's started "outsourcing" the lies because he just can't keep up the pace anymore. Gaynor is just the latest lying mouthpiece shoved in front of the cameras to keep U.S. citizens misinformed. Where Trump used to tell all the lies himself, now it takes at least 20-30 administration officials to spread the necessary bullshit deep enough to cover the U.S. population so they don't discover the truth. You can't tell me this job isn't wearing Trump down!

If such a stockpile exists they may possibly have begun to prepare to ship out. But to whom and by what means would have to be in place in order to prepare to ship and he couldn't say that either.

He didn't know because they only mentioned it to silence critics, not to speak a supporting fact in aid of the crisis response.

He cannot cite facts because there are none on the ground, nor sadly anywhere else that matters.

Numbers come as millions and hundreds of millions, or as billions. Using the words "hundreds of thousands of millions of things" tells me he's just making stuff up off the top of his head, like his boss.

Are there any competent people in Fat Donnie's swamp?
