South Dakota first state for COVID-19 clinical trial treatment and prevention

Source: KELO TV (CBS) Sioux Falls, South Dakota

"SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Governor Kristi Noem announced Monday Sanford Health will lead a clinical trial investigating the drug hydroxychloroquine for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. The controlled study will initially include 2,000 outpatient individuals exposed to COVID-19, including frontline health care workers and other high-risk patients.

The Governor has asked for 1.2 million doses of hydroxychloroquine.

There are no proven drugs or therapeutics to prevent or treat COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine is one of the therapeutics that is under investigation in clinical trials for treatment of patients with mild, moderate and severe COVID-19."

She also mentioned that Trump/Federal government gave her the hydroxychloroquine doses. She mentioned having 100,000 dosages/treatments in her live press conference this morning.

This popped up within minutes of Sioux Falls mayor asking for Noem to institute stay at home/shelter in place mandate.

As per her press conference going on now, "sales tax and video lottery revenue is down". State will put people into hotels, "not into group medical facilities in auditoriums with 7, 000 people".

and they capitalize on it each and every single day.......

If and when the truth ever comes out years from now, we will see TONS of shit that the republicons have pulled off, especially the past three years, while having Trump's antics diverting attention, and the Massive Republican Owned media cooperating by only showing Trump's bullshit, and NEVER reporting on any of the multitude of destructive shit the Republicon Controlled Senate and administration is doing in the shadows......

WASF, and we are only a millimeter away from a Corporate Fascist Tyranny.

Democrats need desperately to after the Republicon controlled Senators. They are the ones keeping Trump in office for that reason alone. Even, by some miracle the Dems can win the election, they will only be right back in the same place with the Republican Senate obstructing everything, just as they did with Obama.......

Trump would be gone in a second if the Republicons didn't have control of the Senate.....

The leadership of the Dem's Party is sadly near non-existent. They need to be spending the money on going after every Republicon Senator up for re-election, every bit as much, if not more, than Trump.......

My favorite saying is; The Dems are walking down the jungle path, swatting at mosquitoes, and oblivious to the herd of charging elephants.......

I am dreading watching what is about to happen on November 3rd, and more so on November 4th. I fear it will be a nightmare confligration of biblical proportions........

South Dakota’s governor resisted ordering people to stay home. Now it has one of the nation’s largest coronavirus hot spots.

As governors across the country fell into line in recent weeks, South Dakota’s top elected leader stood firm: There would be no statewide order to stay home.
Such edicts to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, Gov. Kristi L. Noem said disparagingly, reflected a “herd mentality.” It was up to individuals — not government — to decide whether “to exercise their right to work, to worship and to play. Or to even stay at home.”
And besides, the first-term Republican told reporters at a briefing this month, “South Dakota is not New York City.”
But now South Dakota is home to one of the largest single coronavirus clusters anywhere in the United States, with more than 300 workers at a giant pork-processing plant falling ill. With the case numbers continuing to spike, the company was forced to announce the indefinite closure of the facility Sunday, threatening the U.S. food supply.
