GOP Ohio state lawmaker refuses to wear face mask because faces are the 'likeness of God'

A Republican Ohio state representative cited his religious beliefs to explain why he would not wear a mask as recommended by Gov. Mike DeWine (R) to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.

“This is not the entire world,” state Rep. Nino Vitale wrote in a lengthy Facebook post on Monday morning. “This is the greatest nation on earth founded on Judeo-Christian Principles.”

“One of those principles is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. That image is seen the most by our face. I will not wear a mask,” he continued.

...I just got back from the store, and there was almost a physical altercation on the bus over masks. Two buffoons were loudly arguing about whether or not Bill Clinton's impeachment meant that Donald Trump gets a freebie on rape--I shit you not--when some other fool boarded the bus, went to the back, and pulled down the T-shirt from his face.

Because the bus requires everyone to cover their face (I had my N95/gaiter double-up combo on as usual) the trumpkin in the rape debate decided he had to step in and play Bus Cop, yelling at the fool to cover back up. Initially, this was hilarious because the trumpkin's surgical mask was so misaligned I could see his teeth. But after exchanging a few "fuck you"s the fool stands up, and the trumpkin immediately pulls out a chain with a lock on the end, bellowing about "defending himself," at which point the bus driver stops the bus and tells them both to cool it or he'd call the real cops. Thankfully no guns were involved and my stop came up just a couple of minutes later.

I'm not sure how this trumpkin intended to wield a chain on a bus, but I suspect it was probably the other guy being black that set him off far more than the guy's uncovered face. I'm pretty confident he'd take a very different stance regarding this piss-ant DeWine.
