Trump to deliver remarks from a White House that has become a 'scary' place to work

Source: Washington Post

President Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks Monday on the role of testing in reopening the nation’s economy, as his aides scramble to contain a coronavirus outbreak within the ranks of the White House, which one senior adviser said has made it “scary to go to work.”

Trump and other administration officials are scheduled to appear in the Rose Garden late in the afternoon for what the White House is advertising as remarks from the president and a news briefing on testing.

The event comes amid intense focus on what is being done to contain the virus in the West Wing following announcements in recent days that one of Trump’s personal valets and Katie Miller, the spokeswoman for Vice President Pence, have tested positive.

“It is scary to go to work,” White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said Sunday during an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “But, you know, it’s the time when people have to step up and serve their country.”

false patriotism. They show up for work because they know that if Dumpy gets even a whiff of distance from his present position they're toast. Nothing more.

Doesn't he mean "step up and destroy the country"? Personally, I could care less if everyone in the administration gets a raging case of the virus. I have as much sympathy for them, as they do for us mere mortals. I see the lines of cars waiting for food, and it breaks my heart. Lives are being destroyed daily. Who gives a flying you-know-what about the WH and the idiot in chief?

think they're trying out for a reality TV show. A few, like Miller, are in it to slash and burn for their "cause". But most of them are just sniffing around for the truffles on the ground, hoping to cash in bigly soon . This is their vehicle to do that, no matter who is harmed.

will diminish the ranks of MAGAts. Blues should live prudent lives, maintain social distance, and use PPE. Trumpers will sort themselves out. This is a self-regulating mechanism to some extent.

When one's head is up one's a$$, it's hard to see what's going on.
Try January 2017. That's when it got scary.

The "tough guy" is the genius who built a "cubic model" (a meaningless term) that said CV deaths would be down to zero 3 days from today.
Now, going to work is scary!
Why, Kev? I thought deaths would be at zero on Friday!

He can say he's "social distancing" on the golf course, which is as beautiful as the Trump Country Club in Los Angeles that is opening soon, so reserve your tee times.
