Source: Political Wire
President Trump blamed blue states for increasing the nations death from coronavirus, suggesting that if you take the blue states out of the equation the United States would be far more competitive with other countries, USA Today reports.

(13,585 posts)So like with China, New York, Washington and California let it in to the red states. Or something like that. What if the secretly got the virus from China and intentionally let it out? I'm half surprised the Quackpots aren't already on that one.

total stupidity. & if you believe this then you have no brains either...

(10,907 posts)the first 2-3 months (New York is the big port of entry for international travelers, and New Jersey as a bordering neighbor), but since then it's been southern states and the plain states (which are all red) as far as highest daily averages per capita.
And what matters is per capita as far as where you want to be as far as riskiness.
I suppose one can go here and maybe paste it to a spreadsheet...
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
Where the new cases are highest is here:

Top 20 states in per-capita new cases 7 day moving average are all Trump states.

(6,176 posts)Sure New York and New Jersey have more that 49,000 deaths, but the overwhelming majority of those deaths occurred in the first 3 months. Since then it has been a national catastrophe.
Almost all those deaths in the 4 southern states mentioned above happened after the initial disaster on the east coast. And it's now everywhere.
Doesn't this shithead president realize that there are 32 states with over 1000 deaths?
It's not a red state/blue state thing, it's a nationwide thing.
This is a national catastrophe that Trump deliberately created by his denial and inaction.
On March 13th, Trump said, "I don't take responsibility at all."
And yet, he is most definitely responsible.

He don't care, words and thoughts are just handy weapons to him, disposable, knowing by the time the opponent's response is up he's finding a new shovel.

(6,931 posts)Take all the blue States "out"?? There is NO red or blue State except in the ridiculously outdated nonsense called the Electoral College.
Since IQ 45 wants to ignore population then Hawaii has had only 100 deaths, Texas over 14,000.

Can you imagine the outrage if Obama or Hillary had said something negative about Mississippi or Utah?? The right wing would have lost its collective shit (which they do all the time in their perpetual outraged world).
Just makes me SO angry when I hear him dismiss those awful Blue States.
