It kinda reminds me of when a famous political spouse proclaimed that "it's not important who you vote for, as long as you vote" (or words/sentiments to that effect). It was, for all "intensive-purposes" giving people permission to NOT vote for Hillary.

As a MD voter, I did NOT vote for him and will NEVER do so.
But he has been better than most GOP Governors during the pandemic, largely because Dems in the legislature keep him in check, but also because he is not completely insane.

(9,238 posts)He has often spoken out against Trump and comes off as a moderate and a good guy that people trust. His Democratic opponent in the last election, Ben Jealous, came off as a bit too liberal... and scared off a number of moderate Dems and Independents.
