Birx urges stepped-up coronavirus response, warning of 'most deadly phase of this pandemic': report

Washington Post says internal report sharply contradicts Trump’s messaging on COVID-19

A new report by a top White House coronavirus adviser warns that the U.S. is entering “most deadly phase of this pandemic,” explicitly contradicting President Donald Trump, who has recently claimed in the country is “rounding the corner” on the pandemic, according to the Washington Post.

The Post reported Monday night that Dr. Deborah Birx issued the internal report earlier in the day, urging “much more aggressive action” and warning that “we are entering the most concerning and most deadly phase of this pandemic … leading to increasing mortality.”

“This is not about lockdowns — It hasn’t been about lockdowns since March or April. It’s about an aggressive balanced approach that is not being implemented,” Birx said in the report, according to the Post. The memo also reportedly warned against the type of mass gatherings that Trump has been holding around the country.

The New York Times later independently confirmed the Post report.

Trump has repeatedly downplayed the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the U.S. will soon “round the corner” and the virus will “disappear.”

I still remember Birx making this suck up statement!!

"[Trump is] so attentive to the scientific literature & the details & the data. I think his ability to analyze & integrate data that comes out of his long history in business has really been a real benefit” -- this is shocking, hackish stuff from Dr. Birx.

competent women who do know what they are talking about. She has a 30+ history with CDC & other Medical organizations traveling the world regarding healthcare.

She was highly regarded until * started taking her down.

In her minus column, she is a dominionist, hence the long skirts and hair.

She stood behind him at plenty of conferences nodding her head like the old German Shepherd toy dogs we used to see in the back windows of cars and not refuting his dangerous assertions about drinking Clorox.

She has no backbone or set of core principles in my opinion.
