By David Badash

Marc Elias, a top attorney for the Democratic Party who has spent decades defending voting rights, is calling on the Ethics Committee to investigate Senator Lindsey Graham.

The Georgia Secretary of State in a Monday interview with The Washington Post accused Graham of pressuring him to throw out what would be thousands of ballots from certain counties.

“This is both outrageous and should be investigated by the Senate Ethics Committee,” Elias said via Twitter, in response to Washington Post

Elias is not the only attorney calling for an investigation.

Here’s Kristen Clarke, the president and executive director of the National Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law:.................

Lackey. I did not know then what he really is.

My dislike started when I saw him at the McCain funeral. The camera flashed on him, he was nervous, his eyes darting all over. I wondered why. Then I found out he invited Jared and Ivanka against the family’s wishes. Megan did not even know they were there. Then they complained because they were not treated like Royalty.

Honestly I never gave Lindsey much thought. I am sure you knew better.

He has changed dramatically in so many ways. He was a conservative, but he seemed relatively normal and yes, there were times when he was rather likable. Someone is apparently holding something truly horrible over his head. There is no way that he believes most of what he's been saying.

Whatever it is that he is being blackmailed over, it will undoubtedly come out eventually. In Trump's universe, they all get thrown under the bus in time, some just take longer than others. Nobody who knows Trump really likes him and Trump probably doesn't really like them either, so he has no problem dumping them when he finds them no longer useful or if he's just having a bad day. Like every other authoritarian, its just the way they do business.

So my point is Lindsey is just postponing the inevitable and making himself look worse and worse each day.

Unless you're a foreign dictator, there is a place waiting for you under the bus. DeWine has been far too reasonable during the pandemic, so it was inevitable that he'd say something that would earn Trump's ire. It is unbelievable how little it takes with this monster.

Its funny, back in 2016 most republicans in DC thought Trump was as Lindsey Graham said, a "kook" and they didn't take him too seriously. Now almost everyone of them is terrified of the guy.

but when he's right, I'll applaud him. Of course, he's not running for office, so Trump has no power over him. Most republicans who no longer serve in government are pretty outspoken about how they feel when it comes to Trump. It is the elected ones who quake in fear over what Trump will say or tweet about them, which is pretty pathetic. Its not like they don't have other options if they don't get reelected. Is there really nothing they won't do to stay in office? That's a pretty screwed up value system.

... these are the actions of someone who's desperate and afraid. What does Trump have on him? What does Putin have on him? There's much more to this than meets the eye. The basic truths are pretty much accepted universally, but what remains to be seen is finding out what ELSE there is to know. Is it something illegal? Is it something that could land him in jail? Lindsey is an individual who is acting as though they have something to hide.
