Trump fears Giuliani, other lawyers in Biden vote challenge are 'fools that are making him look bad'
Source: CNBC
President Donald Trump is sweating over his campaign lawyers dismal and often outlandish efforts to reverse President-elect Joe Bidens projected electoral victory.
Trump is worried that his campaigns legal team, which is being led by his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, is comprised of fools that are making him look bad, NBC News reported Monday.
That crew, which has unironically called itself an elite strike force team, to date has failed to win any legal victories that would invalidate votes for Biden, the former Democratic vice president, even as the legal eagles tout wildly broad claims of fraud for which they have offered no convincing evidence.

(115,976 posts)But Rudy and the rest of the occupants of his legal clown car aren't helping. His Lardship's problem, though, is that all the lawyers who want to protect their licenses and their reputations want no part of this clusterfuck. Maybe he'll have to start arguing his claims pro se - and wouldn't that be a sight to behold?

(3,408 posts)Because Bush was really a fool, an empty head. I don't know if he was evil, almost like a child who is just happy to be called "president", and if I recall correctly, I think he said so at one time.
Cheney is evil, no doubt about it, but GW was more of a fool, an idiot placed in the presidency just to allow the evil gang to do the dirty work behind the scenes, then they told him what to say and he happily did.
trump is a fool, no doubt about it, he is also an ignorant, but he is evil as well. If he had been just a little bit intelligent, and a little less narcissistic, he would have never run for office. A person who thinks a little hard would have known that there was too much dirt in his life for it to not come out. I understand that he thought of the presidency as a personal coffer where he could take the money and pay his debts with a lot of extra change, a gigantic grifter, ready to take it all.
But yeah, G.W. Bush, to me, is the perfect "Fool on the Hill".
Wonderful song, shame on us to associate it to such jackasses

Look. They're HIS lawyers. If he was really "fearing" they make him look bad, he could stop that in 30 seconds. One text message. "Rudy and Co, stop all legal action immediately, we're done."
But he isn't making that call. They're doing exactly what he wants them to be doing. He just wants to be able to turn to the halfway-disgusted contingent of his base and say, "Vote for me in 2024. Woe is me, Rudy was such a loose cannon."

(10,749 posts)On the one hand, it's very difficult to make trump look worse than he already is, and has been.
On the other hand, Giuliani and his band of clowns have in fact managed to make trump look worse.
That said, we've already seen that there is no bottom with trump, so there's no telling who or what will make him look worse. Continuing this farce is one way, of course. Not conceding is a good way to look worse. Not authorizing the release of transition funds goes a long way to making him look worse. And then there's the whole coup/not leaving the White House thing. So, there's lots of room for looking worse, and more stupid and evil.

That way, he could live out his live at the expense of the tax payers, in some mental hospital and not have to go to jail. Seems simple enough to me.

From all of the news reports I've read or watched on TV, even Ghouliani knew he couldn't present a case of fraud to judges without evidence as it would put his law license at risk. So he and the other "strike force" team simply presented the fraud to news conferences.

(148 posts)Giuliani was the only lawyer Trump could get so he got him even though he made statements four years ago saying Giuliani wasnt on his game. To hear him talking about all the conspiracy theories while that hair color was dripping down his face and seeing the obligatory pretty young blond behind him mindlessly smiling and nodding...it was SAD. I immediately thought to myself why doesnt family step in and protect him from Trump and going out like a fool. I know Giuliani is not saint, but he did offer leadership during a horrible time when Bush failed us.
