Georgia GOP official urges Trump to respect results of the Electoral College

A Republican official in Georgia urged President Trump on Monday to respect the results of the Electoral College and concede if he did not obtain the required votes. Later in the day, the Electoral College affirmed President-elect Biden's win.

"Our Founding Fathers put the electoral system in place for a reason. The Electoral College votes and they are the ones who decide who the president of the United States will be," Cobb County Republican Party chairman Jason Shepherd told Elaine Quijano, anchor of "Red & Blue" on CBSN.

"At the end of the day it's those electors who will make the decision. If they chose Joe Biden, then Joe Biden is the president, and at that point, it's time for Donald Trump to concede this election," he said.

All this grandstanding was just to keep his base's eyes on him. They are. And he still doesn't intend to have them shift their attention to President Biden. Trump will remain the President to his base. What he says on Twitter is what they will believe and what they will act upon. His will be a shadow executive branch, directing Congress, and...here's the kicker...getting as much or more press coverage than Biden.

Welcome to the future. Another degree of democratic erosion as our Constitution slowly circles the drain.

4. Twitter ban

Once he’s out of office there’s a high probability that Twitter will ban the blow hard for violations of terms of service. I don’t doubt he’ll try to continue to stay relevant, but he will be spending time trying to stay out of New York State prison.

It is all about the money. The reason for getting into the presidency was not to govern, it was about the grift. He has seen how people like Maduro and others have become very rich by pilfering the coffers of their respective countries and his plan was to do the same. It started during the campaign, the inauguration, the golfing, etc. and now the "donations to pay legal fees", it is all a sham.

He owes a lot of money, I guess he will be able to pay some with the "donations" and who knows what else.

It is about the money, nothing else.

Little by little, bit by bit, people in this country have grown numb to Donnie's cons. What once would have been considered unthinkable is now becoming somewhat normalized. Thank God that Biden had such support that he was able to overwhelm all the roadblocks thrown in the way by Don-the-Con and the GOPer party.

trump is too evil to listen to any recommendations with good intentions. He is evil, and that is the only type of information he can process.
