After weeks of declining to recognize Biden's win, Mitch McConnell congratulates him

Breaking with President Trump’s drive to overturn his election loss, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader and the most powerful Republican in Congress, said on Tuesday that the Electoral College’s vote had removed any doubt that Joseph R. Biden Jr. would be the next president.
“Many of us hoped that the presidential election would yield a different result, but our system of government has processes to determine who will be sworn in on Jan. 20,” Mr. McConnell said in a speech on the Senate floor, after weeks of declining to recognize Mr. Biden’s win. “The Electoral College has spoken. So today, I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”
He also congratulated Senator Kamala Harris of California, referring to her as the vice president-elect. “Beyond our differences, all Americans can take pride that our nation has a female vice president-elect for the very first time,” Mr. McConnell said.
The majority leader did not directly address Mr. Trump’s continued and baseless allegations of widespread voting fraud or fantastical claims that he had won the election by a wide margin. Instead, Mr. McConnell effusively praised the president for his four years of service, spending several minutes listing what he said were important achievements in domestic and foreign policy before he ever mentioned Mr. Biden’s name. “The outsider who swore he would shake up Washington and lead our country to new accomplishments at home and abroad proceeded to do exactly that,” he said.

ETA - Biden was a sitting Senator when Turtle was first elected to the Senate. It's not like he doesn't know who he is.

You have over 300,000 dead from a "hoax virus" and the year isn't even up yet, tens of millions of people unemployed including the "hidden" people who were factored out due to the "changes" the BLS did creating some special "cornavirus" factor, the damn "tax break for the wealthy" has left this country not only in major debt, but also created a 3.1 trillion budget deficit (per the CBO Nov. 2020 report) -
You have half the country, including actual elected representatives, foaming at the mouth trying to overthrow the government, threatening and planning to attack other sitting elected officials (in both parties), and not-so-subtly calling for a civil war. America has been reduced to the type of rubble that you see in dystopian movies. And the next step will be for him and his lackeys to sit on the sidelines to, as usual, blame "Democrats" for the GOP's inability to govern while stumbling around trying to find the best way to make some money for themselves. The result was not just taking us to a level that drove the U.S. into a ditch like the last time in 2007/2008, but where they literally threw the country off the cliff.

"what their constituents want". So expect loons like Gohmert & Cruz to join up to sign and submit the paperwork for a formal "objection" that will then require "debate".
Hopefully these anti-Americans limit it to the states (6) they targeted (MI, WI, AZ, PA, NV, & GA) and consider "grouping" their objections into one per state (vs having multiples objecting for each state in dispute). Believe it or not, I don't think PA's Teabagger Toomey would sign off on an objection by the loopy Mike Kelly (PA-16)... but then I don't think they have to have the signoff from a Senator in the state being objected to. It could be any pair of Representative and Senator, but whatever they submit must be signed off by members from both chambers. Individual objections that are not written and submitted with signatures from a member from each chamber, are rejected.
January 6, 2021 will be the circus to end all circuses, with carnival barker Pence directing the show.
