Georgia Democrat slams runoff opponent for not recognizing Biden's win
Source: ABC News
Democratic Senate candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock appeared on ABC's "The View" on Thursday and talked about the high stakes in the Georgia Senate runoff races.
"It's difficult to overstate how much is at stake here," Warnock said, calling the Jan. 5 election "a defining moment in America."
The two runoff races in Georgia between Warnock and Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler, as well as, Republican Sen. David Perdue and Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff, have become a political centerfold as the future of the Senate rests on who will win in Georgia.
Democrats need to win both seats to control the Senate. If Warnock and Ossoff win, each party will have 50 seats, and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be the tiebreaker.

This is the problem with expecting people to believe in things like law and order. Loeffler and Perdue are leading because they are specifically promising to ignore the Constitution and the popular vote and support Trump's coup. The question is whether Democrats should also act like Biden taking office is in question in order to drum up turnout?

(17,390 posts)So, how do you turnout Democrats when you cant run against Trump? On the other hand, in the alternate Newmax/OANN universe that Republicans live in, Trump actually won, but GAs Republican governor secretly conspired with Biden to steal GA, and Perdue and Loeffler will help lead an effort in Congress to overturn the fraudulent election results and reinstate his highness Trump.
It is crazy, yet Republicans are catering and doubling down on the crazy and it fires up the base.

(47,186 posts)its going well. But that's a 10000 ft observation. I haven't been following it lately.
Hit the candidates election lies and treachery hard. Hit Mitch hard.
Hit Perdue for being a coward

(45,806 posts)a lot of new voters who turned 18 since the General Election & Stacy is making sure they get registered & VOTE in the runoff. This election is going to be VERY CLOSE & we are doing everything we can think of to make sure both Dems win!
There are a few things that should push the election in our favor. Some of the Pubs are so pissed about the election in Nov. being stolen, they're refusing to vote in the runoff because it would support a bad system. Then there's DT having told his supporters not to vote out of spite. I have no feel for how many voters will be affected by those two things, but AFAIK there's no hesitation on the Dem side, & the result should favor us.
My hubby & I both mailed our absentee ballots this morning so there are 2 votes for the Dems. There are non-stop ads on TV for all 4 candidates but the Dem candidate ones I think are more convincing.
Fingers crossed until January 5th!
