British actor Jeremy Bulloch who played infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett in the original “Star Wars” films has died at the age of 75.

He died on Thursday in hospital in Tooting, south London, “following health complications, including several years living with Parkinson’s disease”, his website said.

“Jeremy had a long and happy life as an actor and was best known for his roles in the films Summer Holiday, Star Wars and James Bond,” it added.

Born in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, Bulloch appeared in several classic television shows in the 1970s and 80s including “Doctor Who” and “Robin of Sherwood”, and had supporting roles in three James Bond movies.

I always shake my head at how a single obscure character, that basically had a couple minutes of screen time in 2 films - "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi", evolved into a cult figure some 20 years later that eventually spawned an entire SW film - the prequel "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones", which delved into the origins of the "Fetts".

(SW:AOTC) - Jango Fett - the precursor "clone" that eventually lead to Boba Fett and many thousands of others

(the noisiest of the SW films )

But aside from that rant about "Attack of the Clones, R.I.P. to the actor who played the original Boba Fett, and kudos for his performance that managed to capture the imaginations of a whole segment of the SW fandom.

Which I personally think feels much more like the original trilogy than any of the other new movies.. it's great!

One silent slow nod of respect from me for this man.

If only things would calm down regarding the pandemic (which has required me to keep aware of changing restrictions here, that literally happen daily) and having to make contingency plans due to the near-literal destruction of this country by the current administration (impacting every day life, like the 3 purchases I made weeks ago that were sent USPS and are basically piled up somewhere in USPS warehouses unable to be delivered thanks to fucking changes made by DeJoy), I would actually take the time to give that series a view.
