Jared Kushner helped create a Trump campaign shell company that secretly paid the president

Source: Business Insider

EXCLUSIVE: Jared Kushner helped create a Trump campaign shell company that secretly paid the president's family members and spent $617 million in reelection cash, a source tells Insider

President Donald Trump's most powerful advisor, Jared Kushner, approved the creation of a campaign shell company that secretly paid the president's family members and spent almost half of the campaign's $1.26 billion war chest, a person familiar with the operation told Insider.

The operation acted almost like a campaign within a campaign. It paid some of Trump's top advisors and family members while shielding financial and operational details from public scrutiny.

When Kushner and others created the company in April 2018, they picked Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump, to become its president, Vice President Mike Pence's nephew John Pence as its vice president, and Trump campaign CFO Sean Dollman as its treasurer and secretary, the person who spoke on the condition of anonymity said.

Insider independently verified details of this person's account with other sources close to the Trump campaign.

This is probably a drop in the bucket compared to what the TRUMP INC spawn have done daily the last four years.

And then also think about the massive grifting the ENTIRE RepubliCON party has done the past four years....
For instance think about the half a Trillion they doled out of the massive bailout fund that the RepubliCONs declared they did not have to declare/account to anyone where it was spent.........

At times, The RepubliCON grifting probably looked like turning hundreds of children loose in a huge candy store with absolutely no supervision. Seriously.....

We are not on a new chapter of America's history, we are on an entirely new set of books, something akin to the Encyclopedia Britanica or World Book Encyclopedia.........

Un-fathomable...............

To the mods: I wasn't sure this was worthy of LBN thread start, but it seems relevant here given the timing. It will be about three weeks from now so Mikey can get his second vax shot before he gets out of Dodge.

I think part of this is that Pence is trying to protect his future by staying out of sight while the Tangerine Grifter scorches the earth as much as he can before Joe takes over.

Otherwise, he will be forced to pardon Trump, which may not look so good for his political ambitions. He wants to run for president in 2024, and if Trump escapes any federal indictments and runs himself in 2024, Pence is screwed. Without Pence around, Trump would be forced to pardon himself, a risky move. Of course, Trump can always order Pence back to DC in time to be sworn in as president so he could pardon Trump. If Pence disobeyed, Trump would crucify him. Mikey is in a tough position just now.

He's been a toady from the beginning and failed to do his duty as a citizen and public official, meaning he could have tried to put the brakes on a lot of the dysfunctional stuff that has happened. Or, he could have resigned in disgust. But all of that assumes he has the moral and ethical standards to do so.

After all, didn't he get together with his (smart?) young whizkid business buddies and start a company grifting off of the PPE back at the beginning when PPE was so scarce and he was tasked by Trump to solve the problem? Everyone Trump brought into his administration was out to make piles of money, but he has been one of the worst of the lot. He and his wife were born to it. It would be nice to never see him again, but I would hope they would do something about "shell companies."
