Trump Campaign Paid Organizers of Pre-Riot Rally $2.7 Million

Source: Bloomberg

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign paid more than $2.7 million to individuals and firms that organized the Jan. 6 rally that led to violent rioters storming the U.S. Capitol, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

The payments, which span Trump’s re-election campaign, show an ongoing financial relationship between the rally’s organizers and Trump’s political operation. They were all made through Nov. 23, the most recent date covered by Federal Election Commission filings, which is before the rally was publicly announced.

Eight paid Trump campaign officials were named on the permit issued on by the National Park Service for the rally, including Maggie Mulvaney, the niece of Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s former chief of staff who resigned his position as special envoy to Northern Ireland after the riots. Maggie Mulvaney was paid $138,000 by the campaign through Nov. 23.

...

The biggest recipient of campaign funds according to the report, was Event Strategies Inc., which was paid more than $1.7 million by Trump’s campaign and joint fundraising committee. The firm’s owners, Justin Caporale and Tim Unes, served as rally production manager and stage manager, respectively.

of prior planning and collusion by his campaign and other staff direct that he and they are accountable for the deaths and the coordination of the attack. Lots of empty cells at Club Fed. I hear USP Lompoc and FCI Otisville are quite accommodating the hardened white collar carreer types.

of plotting insurrection to stay in power. That will remove him from office and remove all the perks of a former president, especially security briefings (always a concern in his case) and set the stage for a criminal court to send him to prison.

It will be interesting if there were more later payments that won't be routinely announced by the FEC until later. It would be interesting to know the dates of these payments.

"The Trump campaign has repeatedly denied being directly involved in the organization of the rally.

According to the Associated Press, among those listed as organizers on official paperwork for the rally are former campaign staffers Megan Powers, Caroline Wren, Maggie Mulvaney, Justin Caporale, and Tim Unes.

Some of those former staffers scrambled to hide their connections to the rally after it took place, the AP added."

But $2.7M to pay people into insurrection and sedition, just goes to show what a last ditch effort he was putting into staying in power.

It's also sweet irony that several Cult45s are sick right now of a disease they supported T---- doing nothing about. I know, that's sad to say, but I'm out of fucks to give. I'm tired of having to do things every day I might not otherwise have to do, precautions, simply because the babies in our society won't grow the fuck up and wear masks like the rest of us!

And what about the people who paid for the bus rides? Were they doing it at the behest of the campaign?
