New York (CNN) - New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is denying allegations from a former aide who accused him of sexual harassment, including an unwanted kiss, in a Medium post on Wednesday.

Lindsey Boylan alleged that in 2018, the Democratic governor kissed her on the lips following a one-on-one briefing in his New York City office.

"As I got up to leave and walk toward an open door, he stepped in front of me and kissed me on the lips," Boylan wrote, describing the encounter. "I was in shock, but I kept walking." Boylan first accused the governor of sexual harassment in a Twitter thread in December.

"As we said before, Ms. Boylan's claims of inappropriate behavior are quite simply false," Caitlin Girouard, the governor's press secretary, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Maybe the accuser has higher aspirations & there's more to this story.
Nothing like a good ol sex scandal as the next election heats up.

The staffers were all in the same room when she made the claim & "NO, it never happened".

Perhaps there's a personal vendetta going on. Maybe she had an attraction to Mr Cuomo that was spurned.

She ran against Jerry Nadler & got 20% of the vote. Nadler -67% , while a 3rd person got the remainder.
Appears she's got higher aspirations for politics so who the F knows what the personal reasons are for shoving this salacious story to the press.

There are 3 Repubs eyeing the Gov seat. One being the lovely Stefanik 🤮

That's on the Repub side.
There are rumors of others as well.
To take down Gov Cuomo would be the biggest prize in NY politics.

I call bull on this story, since it's already been called out as a lie, a hit piece, by members of his staff who were always in the room together.

This is straight out of Roger Stone antics, & of course we all recall when, where ,& why Tara Reade appeared & quickly disappeared as well.

This dirty play demeans those who have legitimate cause for recourse in a victimizing situation.

I hate people who do this & call bullshit on the story.

wonderful during the beginning of the pandemic with his daily reports. I agree, someone or many are trying to smear him and I hope he finds out who they are. Go Andrew!

I usually stay clear of stories like these unless I personally know one of the parties involved, and in this case I don‘t.

But this sounds similar to the Tara Reade story, which was an obvious scam. That one was so obvious, it‘s as if Trump was starting to realize that Biden could clobber him in the election, and told Stone, „find me something, anything!“ Now that Roger Stone is out and about again, I think we can expect more of this. Look out if it gets pointed out that Cuomo accusers „came forward,“ which seems to be the stock code phrase in such matters, much like Republicans who scream „Liberal!!“ when they think they need to smear someone but don‘t quite know what with.

3. I bet he sounded out others in his office to see if they would join in her allegations.

When no one apparently did, he knew he could isolate her into the lone complainer.

9. Simple solution. Have her declare this while under oath and a signed notarized affidavit

over what she is claiming at which point then launch an ethics investigation into Cuomo.
If he did something wrong it needs to be determined and if its bad enough then he should resign or be removed and if he is innocent and it turns out she is lying then she should prosecuted for perjury.
