FREEPORT, Ill. Six community supporters were arrested during a sit-in at the Freeport Sensata Technologies plant Wednesday, Oct. 17.
The community members were occupying the plants lobby in protest of Bains decision to outsource 170 American jobs from its profitable Sensata plant in Freeport to China.
Those arrested include JoAnn Matthews, the mother of Sensata worker Mary Jo Kerr; 82-year-old community supporter Paul Holz; and Kathy Hoyer, who worked at Sensata for two decades before being laid off earlier this year, and her son.
Last week, three community members including the daughter of a Sensata worker were arrested for blocking trucks removing equipment from the plant.

God damn Mitt Romney to everlasting Hell along with every other dirty, rotten, Republican out there for what they're doing to my town.
I'm the fellow to the very far left in the orange and grey coat and to my left are the Freeport Six surrounded by friends and family.
As a community we drove out to the Freeport police station following their arrests to make sure that they all got bailed out and a hero's welcome as they each stepped out of the station.

(2,060 posts)During the second debate, President Obama refused to mention Sensata and did, in fact, say, "Some of those jobs are not going to come back..."
To me, personally, it was like a knife cutting right into my heart to hear that.
