Biden says Cuomo must resign if harassment claims get confirmed

President Biden affirmed late Tuesday that Gov. Cuomo must resign if the sexual misconduct allegations against him are substantiated, breaking days of silence on the increasingly volatile issue.

Biden, who has maintained a cordial relationship with Cuomo for decades, dropped the bombshell ultimatum in an interview on ABC News, in which he also said the embattled governor will likely face prosecution if investigators stand up the misconduct claims.

“Yes,” Biden said bluntly when asked by ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos if Cuomo should step down in the event that State Attorney General Letitia James’ independent investigation confirms the allegations. “I think he’ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.”

Based on some of the things I've read here, those politicians in NY- Dems none the less, that have called for him to resign, all have an agenda. They want to be governor, They are powerful enemies, they want revenge perhaps because of the mob something something something. Ron Kim said he was threatened by the governor. First reaction by some, he's a liar! Now that people are realizing that Cuomo has been a bully for much of his political career, oh that's just his style of governing. Just saying, some of the defense is mind boggling.
Even in this thread, it was posted that Biden didn't say that!

I vote for Democrats because I think they're the party that's far more likely to actually do work against sexual harassment, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. They have to be pushed but they're far more open than the alternative.

I loved Al Franken and I was sad when he was pushed out, but I respected that decision. Cuomo is SO MUCH WORSE than Franken. SO much worse. And if he resigns that seat will still be held by a Democrat. We're losing nothing by getting rid of him.

If you're a man, read the accounts of what Cuomo did to women, and ask yourself how you would feel if a male superior touched you that way.
