An Idaho man photographed hanging from the Senate balcony and sitting in the presiding officer’s chair in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony obstruction of Congress, admitting to joining a group who came to Washington armed with firearms, knives and body armor to support President Donald Trump.

13. There was a video posted of him at a Memphis hotel with a firearm on his way to DC

He drove from Idaho specifically to bring firearms, which would not have been permitted on a plane. He met with other insurrectionist friends on the way, including the one he stayed with in Memphis. He absolutely had a firearm in his possession in Memphis during the trip to DC. I would not be at all surprised if the evidence shows he had that same firearm in his backpack during the insurrection.

Anyone who thinks these asshats are patriots is sadly mistaken — misguided. They haven’t a clue what patriotism is all about. It has nothing to do with what they did. Imagine trying to overturn an election (safely and legitimately conducted), to usurp the will of the people and destroy one of the symbols of our liberty and then try to call yourself a patriot?
