Jeffrey Clark, Trump-appointed DOJ official, claimed Chinese thermostats changed votes in 2020

Source: Business Insider

Jeffrey Clark, a Justice Department official appointed by former President Donald Trump, told senior officials that China used thermostats to change ballots in the 2020 presidential election.

In a recently released email originally sent December 2020, Clark asked his superiors - including acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen and deputy Richard Donoghue - to look into "foreign election interference issues."

Clark claimed hackers had evidence that "a Dominion machine accessed the Internet through a smart thermostat with a net connection trail leading back to China."

He said he hoped to use information gathered by US intelligence to determine whether the thermometers could make digital contact with voting machines in the United States.

From a RW website:

In Georgia, Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, an inventor and IT expert, raised concerns about devices such as a “cheap Chinese smart TV with WiFi” or a thermostat connected to the internet that creates vulnerabilities in the entire system.

Like most of my fellow Californians, I voted by mail last time. My ballot, which was marked by pen, was fed along with others into an electronic reader that tallied the votes for the gazillion races we like to have on every election day. Just when and how do the thermostats come into it? Assuming our county buildings actually have such modern technology, that is, and aren't still using the old-fashioned bimetal thermostats.

Do these people actually think these things through? Do they have any understanding of how stuff works on this planet? And if they believe that internet-connected thermostats somehow communicate with some unknown entity in China, should we even tell them about smart refrigerators?

So that states purchase ES&S machines. Interesting how far polls were off in states using ES&S voting machines: Maine, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina. Twenty-two of 25 states TFG won in 2020 used ES&S machines.

As part of T*****'s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Clark wanted Rosen and Donoghue to sign his draft letter telling Georgia's leaders the Justice Department "is investigating various irregularities in the 2020 election" and has "identified significant concerns that may have impacted the outcome of the election in multiple states." If Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) declined to call a special session to address "this important and urgent matter," Clark's draft letter claimed, the Justice Department believes "the Georgia General Assembly has implied authority under the Constitution of the United States to call itself into special session" and appoint its own presidential electors.

Clark resigned on January 14, 2021 after controversy over his role regarding the disputed results of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.

After leaving the Justice Department, Clark landed a position as Chief of Litigation and Director of Strategy at the New Civil Liberties Alliance, a conservative-libertarian law firm that battles “the administrative state.” (Its latest actions: supporting a law professor who refuses to get the COVID vaccine and opposing the federal eviction moratorium.) Clark’s transition back into the conservative legal movement illustrates once again that there have been virtually no professional consequences for the many Republican attorneys who tried to steal the election for Trump.

We were so close to a coup. And it hasn't ended, so we must be on constant guard.

Every person taking a smart phone into the reception/transmission zone of the voting machines was linked to Russia, er, that is, China, where the data were altered and sent back. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese with smart phones, bouncing laser-beams off the Moon, carrying data and altered data back and forth. Boggles the mind.

He had Zero senior DOJ experience prior to that appointment and has never been anything but a shill for the Chamber of Commerce while at Kirkland & Ellis. He did do some knee browning during W's reign as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the Justice Department 2001-2005. He's a dangerous federalist troll who should be arrested ASAP.
