(36,461 posts)I know that's a total glass-half-empty view, but there is no political will to work together. We've dallied too long. The rich will do what they have to, to cushion the coming fall. (54,370 posts)People in our area are trying to cope with damage from between 1 and 3 meters of water in their homes after massive rainstorms that have been coming all summer. My wife called me from Düsseldorf today (I am in the USA for another week) to tell me not only has she had the dehumidifier on nonstop, but she had to turn on the heating because our place was freezing without it. In AUGUST!
