The Senate remains the favorite for reelection, leading with 48% to Demings 46%, according to the latest numbers from St. Pete Polls. That leaves his lead within the polls 2.2% margin of error, and the two-term incumbent sits below a critical 50% support level.

(8,291 posts)And we will need a strong grassroots effort comparable or surpassing Georgia. Otherwise it will just be another close loss like usual.

(2,248 posts)I see this as a positive. Sure, Marco has instant name recognition, but i see that as a NEGATIVE.
She needs to tie him completely to the covid death cult and what's happening right now and what will transpire over the next month.
Also she doesn't have nearly the name recognition. It may come down to the debates if she's this close already. She looks to be running a good campaign. I'm all in for Val, she was my VP choice.

(9,953 posts)... she could win on Florida's problems. People will vote out Republican rule. I hate to say it, but she will need to make up more than 2.2. If she has mo, then she could... but with Florida, a Dem has to win more than their margin of cheat.

Little Marco has a dismal record in the Senate. That is a weapon against him as it pertains to COVID, the Economic plight of Floridians, climate change, etc.

(123 posts)I've been following her. She's been consistently laying the groundwork of a solid campaign, all the while smacking down GQP in the house.
