First I did the new series
And then I went back and watched the old series.

Loved them both.
I had read the books years ago.

I liked the show too, but in the later years it got kind of repetitive. Mozzie was the saving grace in any episode.

When Bobby Simone unexpectedly inherited a Brooklyn walk-up, he also inherited Henry, a distant cousin of his late wife, as well as the building's live-in super (and PITA). The episodes included a classic murder, when someone in the building is shot to death through their apartment door's peep hole. Henry is the original suspect, but is cleared by Simone.

RIP. He always made the shows he was in more entertaining.
