It's not facing the harbor unfortunately, it's one block in. But it does show conditions pretty well; the operator says he will keep it going as long as he has a connection.

I'm a suburbanite to city-dweller to rural person for a long time now. Dark in the country is really dark! One learns the value of a full moon out here.

Another thing that looks "off" to me... It's really spooky how empty that particular neighborhood is, too! It's never that empty, not anytime.

It feels like we're waiting for a gigantic shoe to drop.

These both have sound. On this Statue of Liberty one, you can hear how loud the wind is. Click on "Live Streaming view from the Torch" along the top of pic...

Time Square Cam. Not as much to hear. It's so weird to see it look so subdued...

Choose from the list provided OR if the area you want isn't listed, move the map around and click on any of the blue dots that appear (each blue dot is a traffic cam, usually at an intersection or overpass.)

Stay safe everyone!

Assuming we still have power. I'm in NE NY and we've been lucky, so far, just wind and rain. *fingers crossed*

I discovered TrafficLand back in '09on DU. Someone posted the link on Inauguration Day. So, one more thing to thank Obama for (and DU, of course!)

I use it all the time when I have to travel in dicey weather and last night I was able to "check in" on various family members.
