(1,292 posts)Nothing wrong with staying active. I applaud Chris Wallace for finally leaving that toxic dog and pony show. I would have liked to see him follow his father and finish his career at 60 Minutes, but at least he's left the Goebbels network.

(5,315 posts)He had a bad habit of telling the truth sometimes. That usually doesn't go over too well at Fux
There have never been many actual journalists at Faux Nuz, but Chris is/was one of the few...and definitely one of the only ones who are still there. Brett Baier is probably the only one who will be there after this who still tells the truth on occasion. Everyone and everything else on that channel is opinion and lies posing as news/fact.

(6,833 posts)His last name carried a lot of clout. Dubious though that name may be. Some would point to him as justification for legitimizing Fox. Piss poor excuse for watching that mess but it gave the FNC a molecule thick patina of respectability.

Boycott.

(43,188 posts)Mike Wallace was a Republican as I recall reading, as was Don Hewitt and Steve Kroft. You sure couldn't tell it by their journalism.
Chris Wallace and Brian William are on the loose!

If you look up ownership of the few news orgs, 6 or so, then look up ownership, the top four instutional owners will include one or two of these, Vanguard, Black Rock, State Street along with repititions of a few others in the top group of owners.
Which means of course even fewer, owners, engaged in message and content contnrol.

(1,292 posts)and follow in his father's footsteps. He's always served as a fig leaf of journalistic integrity at Fux, that provided cover for the other 95% of their programming.
Kudos for Mr. Wallace for finally leaving that division stoking rat ship. I hope he emerges as a critic of Fox's practices, but my guess is that he won't say much negative about them.

(38,436 posts)for those who do not want to hit the link,,Lora Logan said at the link that Dr Fauci was like a doctor for Hitler
who did experiments on Jews
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason Wallace left. He left because Logan (who is not around any more) ..
hit on Dr. Fauci with a total and ridiculous lie....at link below, you can hear her say this..(did anyone hear Fox
News apologizing for that ridiculous statement?..) I didn't think so.I don't think Fox has apologized for any of its nonsense.
Maybe the lack of apology from Fox News...was the real reason Wallace left.?
.......NO APOLOGY FROM FOX FOR SAYING DR. FAUCI WAS LIKE A DR. THAT EXPERIMENTED ON JEWS...!!
.......you can hear Lora say that at the link below.total time of story at link, about 4:25 seconds.

(2,935 posts)i bet there are problems behind the scene over how extreme Fox is. Anchors that could be employed elsewhere are suddenly rethinking their position before those bridges are burnt.

(34,195 posts)Longtime "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace announced on Sunday that he is leaving the network, saying he wants to pursue opportunities "beyond politics" and later
confirming reports that he is joining CNN's new streaming service.
"After 18 years this is my final 'Fox News Sunday.' It is the last time and I say this with real sadness we will meet like this," Wallace said at the end of the program.
"Eighteen years ago, the bosses here at Fox promised me they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked, and they kept that promise. I have been free to report to the best of my ability, to cover the stories I think are important, to hold our country's leaders to account. It's been a great ride," he added.
Wallace also said
he wants "to try something new, to go beyond politics to all the things Im interested in."
"Im ready for a new adventure," he added. "And I hope youll check it out."
