Cyber Ninjas faces fine over Arizona election review records

Source: Associated Press

PHOENIX (AP) — A judge said Thursday he will fine Cyber Ninjas, the contractor that led Arizona Republicans’ 2020 election review, $50,000 a day if the firm doesn’t immediately turn over public records related to the unprecedented inquiry.

The judge found Cyber Ninjas in contempt for its failure to turn over documents, which two Maricopa County judges and the state Court of Appeals have ruled are subject to the public records law.

The $50,000 daily fine imposed by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge John Hannah far exceeds the $1,000 levy suggested by a lawyer for The Arizona Republic newspaper, which filed the public records lawsuit in 2020. Hannah said the lower amount would be “grossly insufficient” to coerce Cyber Ninjas to comply with his orders.

A lawyer for Cyber Ninjas, Jack Wilenchik, said the company is insolvent, has laid off all employees, including former CEO Doug Logan, and can’t afford to sift through its records to find those related to the audit.

it took a judge to hold them accountable.

The Cyber Ninjas should never have been given access to ballots, voter information, election materials and equipment that should have remained in the possession of election officials.

The Cyber Ninjas violated state and FEDERAL laws and all that DOJ did was write them a stern letter.

Since no action was taken by DOJ the fraudits spread to other states where they even went door to door trying to dig up proof of voter fraud.

Will this judge be able to hold these people accountable? At least he is trying but it would be nice if DOJ would help him. Just saying they can't afford to comply should not be an excuse, have some of our traitorous American oligarchs give them some more money, I'm sure that's who financed them in the first place.

That 50K a day could go a long way towards buying new voting machines, that have to be re-certified. Can court fines be written off in a bankruptcy?

Wake Technology Services audited a Pennsylvania election as part of the #StopTheSteal movement

By: Jeremy Duda - May 21, 2021 8:52 am

The company that is conducting a hand recount of nearly 2.1 million Maricopa County ballots conducted an election audit in rural Pennsylvania county at the request of a state senator who has been a prominent advocate of the “Stop the Steal” movement that has spread baseless conspiracy theories that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against Donald Trump.

According to records and news coverage from Fulton County, Penn., state senators Doug Mastriano and Judy Ward asked county officials to allow Wake Technology Services Inc. to conduct an audit of the election. Ward, who represents the rural county in southern central Pennsylvania, told the Arizona Mirror that she passed the request on to county officials at Mastriano’s behalf.

Mastriano has been a prominent supporter of the “Stop the Steal” movement and Trump ally. He helped organize a Nov. 25 hearing in Gettysburg where Trump campaign lawyer Rudy Giuiani and others aired baseless conspiracy theories that Trump lost Pennsylvania through “irregularities and fraud.” He said on Wednesday Trump recently urged him to run for governor.

Wake TSI, an information technology company that has predominantly worked with clients in the health care sector, is now conducting a hand recount of all ballots cast in Maricopa County during the 2020 presidential election as part of an audit ordered by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, R-Prescott. The company is part of an audit team led by Cyber Ninjas, a cybersecurity company located in Florida. Fann and Cyber Ninjas cited Wake TSI’s experience in Fulton County as a qualification to participate in the Maricopa County audit.

Trump maintains voter loyalty in Fulton County

The reddest county in Pennsylvania only got redder during the 2020 presidential election.Fulton County, Pennsylvania, had the highest percentage of Donald Trump voters in the state in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. In the 2016 election, President Donald Trump won 83.5% of the vote in Fulton County, according to the New York Times; however, President Trump won 85.5% of the vote in Fulton County in 2020.

John Mellott, a Fulton County resident and a steel worker, said that Trump appeals to the blue-collared American.“He is for the American worker,” Mellott said. “That resonates well with the citizens in this county.”

Fulton County is in the heart of southcentral Pennsylvania. It is also among 10 other Pennsylvania counties in which President Trump won over 70% of the vote. In three of those counties, however, he won over 80% of the vote. Bedford County, Fulton County’s western neighbor, had the second highest percentage of Trump voters in 2020 with 83.5%, according to the New York Times’ election map.

But note that entire population of that county (14,566 as of the 2020 census) is only a couple thousand more than my own 3 sq mile neighborhood here in Philly.
