Debate over kids and face masks heightens as COVID-19 cases fall in US

Source: ABC News

As new cases of COVID-19 decline across the country for the first time in weeks, the debate over face masks for kids is reaching a fever pitch.

[snip]

This week, in Loudoun County, Virginia, where the district's school board voted last month to keep its mask mandate, 29 students were suspended for not wearing face masks. Three families are currently suing the district's school board over its enforcement of the mask mandate despite the governor's order.

Karla Alsop, a mom of three in Virginia, blames masks for her daughter's difficulty with reading. Alsop's daughter attends a public school in Stafford County, where schools continue to follow a mask mandate.

"She's saying that she can't read like a second grader and she's afraid to go to school. I can't, as a parent, let that go," Alsop told ABC News. "This is about parents having the rights to make the best decisions for their kids regarding their health, regarding their education."

With that idea? We need to always control against this virus and it could take a very long time. These fools need to learn to accept their new reality.

If it was speaking, then sure some folks have trouble hearing someone speaking through a mask. But I don't think that's the case here.

Schools are a major source of viral infection of all types. These parents want to cull the herd of teachers, students, and other parents. Antimask parents are often unvaccinated too.

where people are running around unvaxxed and unmasked. You could ask my daughters in FloriDUH or Tennessee, where it's different from northern Virginia or the Bay area of California or NYC. Taking the US as a whole is misleading, which is why I always say you can manipulate statistics to prove damn near anything.

So, in the best interest of your child's education and health, you need to keep her home and educate her yourself. In fact, you shouldn't let her out of the house. Just keep her with you and stay inside to make sure she doesn't try to sneak out and actually learn something. How horrible!
