(15,388 posts)Okay, perhaps it wasn't politically motivated. Perhaps it was some guy looking for food. Perhaps it was a mentally unbalanced man who didn't like the color the house was painted. Perhaps it was someone searching for his Unicorn.
But the most plausible explanation is that it was some MAGA/NAZI looking to harm or kill Nancy Pelosi. Only her husband was home, so he was the one who was attacked.
Yeah, there's a lot more to come. But if his reason turns out to be political, he should be jailed for the maximum to turn away other would-be attackers.

We have always had a Nazi element in our country but in this social media era they can find each other and bring in others.
Hope I never get forced to do it but again, feel fortunate Im in Central Ohio, less than 3 hours from Ontario. If push comes to shove might take advantage of that. Never ever thought wed get where we are now but here we are.

The important point is that none of them were from the neighboring area. Several traveled quite far and for some time to arrive there. In these times would be a grievous error to assume that the attack was by a street person looking for food or anything like that.
I've witnessed some vile things said in broad daylight at the grocery store or in a restaurant which indicated serious anger aimed at Nancy Pelosi. These were not offhand attitudes but an ingrained belief that she personally was worthy of the threats we have heard from the Jan. 6 invaders. They were expressed at length and articulated with considerable passion given the public settings in which I heard them.
