"I would be shocked if we do not achieve Full Self-Driving safer than a human this year. I would be shocked," Musk told analysts.

Tesla Full Self-Driving to be “safer than a human” in 2022, Elon Musk claims

Despite numerous videos of Tesla's new 'Full Self-Driving' system veering into obstacles and missing stop signs – amid investigations into road deaths by safety authorities – Elon Musk claims the tech will soon be "safer than a human" – a target he says is a "low standard".

Many people believe the known and proven liar.

These cars are being beta-tested on the public - without consent

Meanwhile, the NTSB and NHTSA have massively failed those who they are tasked to protect. Maybe many of the employees own stock?

I've had it almost 3 years, it has only had to go to service once. I've had to replace a few tires due to flats. That's it!

And I LOVE that I can drive with 1 foot. I very rarely use the brake pedal. The instant acceleration is the best feature. Very easy to get around in L.A. traffic.

With Elon's latest shit since buying Twitter, I was against getting another Tesla when my lease expires in June. I put a deposit on the Cadillac Lyric. But Cadillac is way behind in delieveries, so even if I extended my lease on the Tesla to end of year, I still may not have the Lyric in time. So, I think I'm just going to go ahead and get another Model 3 in the exact same configuration as I have today. Plus Tesla just lowered the prices. Win win.

The pool is at 44 Bonnie Banks Road, San Rafael, if you want to Google map it. On the corner of San Pedro & Bayview Roads. I know that road & that's not the sort of curve where one would expect to end up plowing through the fence of someone's backyard; it's more likely to hit the center median. Though she could've done so, swerved back & lost control...or it could've been autopilot, health condition, or who knows what.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/44+Bonnie+Banks+Way,+San+Rafael,+CA+94901/@37.9759534,-122.4823776,198m

About all that's known at this point is that she was NOT wearing her seatbelt, which has led some to assume perhaps she was letting the car drive (though maybe she just didn't like wearing her seatbelt).

or 100 1000 watt bulbs - yikes

You throw a LOT of that away as heat.

Somewhere up in the attic I have a 1000 watt incandescent bulb. It's the size of a balloon & has a scaled up standard looking base, but otherwise looks just like a regular incandescent. It came from an 40 year old (at that time) school auditorium when they renovated it back in the late 1970's.

Regarding so much of the energy in gas being lost as heat, I wonder if that is what will slow adoption of electric vehicles in snow states? I wonder if people will learn to warm up the interior while still plugged in? So many little changes coming...

But corporations mustn't ever be held accountable, so they use public streets and paying customers to do their alpha and beta testing for them. It's so much cheaper even with lawsuits (often paid by insurance or written down as an expense) than paying for proper testing and not releasing products until they are deemed safe by independent government labs.

A typical move for someone trying to commit suicide. If not the fault of autopilot, then under the influence of something or even a medical emergency would be my first guess. My father recently had a stroke while driving. Had the situation been slightly different, then things could have been much worse for him and others on the road.

It's right after a small rise on an inside corner though, which leads me to posit either she was driving and hit the median, then over-corrected - or autopilot got confused. For much of my life, Marin has had median curbs on many 45 mph four lane roads that are virtually invisible during certain conditions.

Almost very other time a Tesla (or some other car) ends up in a pool people seem to get out alive.
