Rand Paul stunned by Moderna CEO: Less risk of myocarditis for people who take vaccine
Source: Raw Story
Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel surprised Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) by explaining that the risk of myocarditis decreased in boys who took the company's Covid-19 vaccine.
"Is there a higher interest or a higher incidence of myocarditis among adolescent males 16 to 24 after taking your vaccine?" Paul, a vaccine critic, asked the CEO at a Senate hearing on Wednesday.
-snip-
"The data I've shown, actually, I've seen, sorry, from the CDC, actually shown that there's less myocarditis for people who get the vaccine versus who get COVID infection," Bancel explained.
Paul sounded shocked: "You're saying that for ages 16 to 24 among males who take the COVID vaccine, their risk of myocarditis is less than people who get the disease?"

Its key to note that COVID-19 itself can cause heart problems in young people, and a small proportion who recover from the disease can be left with inflammation of the heart.
Dr James de Lemos, a cardiologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, who reported one of the first cases at the start of the year, said in the New York Times Its going to be manifold more common to get heart muscle inflammation from getting COVID than you would from getting a vaccine, even in young men.

(7,561 posts)Which is convenient, since when the NBO incorporated in 1999, the documents list one Rand Paul as both its founding president and director. The NBO went out of business in 2000, but Paul resurrected it in 2005, just in time to revive his lapsed board certification. In contrast to the ABO, which has a staff of 11 in its Philadelphia office, the NBOs address is a UPS box in Bowling Green. Rented by, well, you know.

(4,317 posts)I read somewhere that he did not complete more than 2-3 years at Baylor University. Wouldn't that explain why he had to FAKE his certification to be a genuine ophthalmologist? Did the actual medical doctors notice Rand Paul's inadequacies as a doctor and thus discover the truth that strings had been pulled for Rand Paul, so he was only PRETENDING to be qualified to practice medicine? And does his inadequate undergraduate education explain WHY he does not understand the MEDICAL EVIDENCE about the COVID-19 vaccines?

He does not have REAL certification as an ophthalmologist. He faked it! Did he ever actually practice medicine as a genuine ophthalmologist, which would require very high-level medical expertise? Why couldn't he get REAL certification in the GENUINE certification board run by GENUINE MEDICAL DOCTORS? Did the REALLY QUALIFIED MEDICAL DOCTORS notice important GAPS in his understanding of medical practice? Did they then uncover the truth that his education had been rigged for him? I read that he completed perhaps 3 years at Baylor University. Would that last year of undergraduate education with advanced biology courses have prepared Rand Paul to actually UNDERSTAND the evidence for the COVID-19 vaccines? Did somebody PULL STRINGS so he could get into medical school under false pretenses? And did somebody also pull strings so he could be treated leniently in medical school? Is that the reason he sounds so clueless in these hearings?
