President Joe Biden tripped on a sandbag and fell as he completed handing out diplomas at the US Air Force Academy commencement in Colorado on Thursday.

Biden appeared fine afterward, walking without assistance to his seat in the stands. He was seen smiling and jogging toward his vehicle at the ceremony’s conclusion.

The stumble began as Biden was jogging away from center stage, where earlier he’d delivered a commencement address to the academy’s graduates.

The president returned to his seat in the stands without assistance, and appeared in good spirits as the ceremony concluded.

a few weeks ago I returned a package to my neighborhood UPS store...the door was held open by a boulder...I saw it and walk around it but a thirty-something mom with two kids didn't and she fell...most of us do not make a habit of walking looking down, at least not all the time, and regardless of age if an object is placed on the ground where it should not be someone will fall...

Do you really want the next election to be the criminal fascist vs the "senile old man". And it being more more about which one looks worse? I used quotes in that Biden description so don't report me. I am speaking through the inevitable branding by the Rs. I don't know why we have to make excuses or hide from this reality. We better be ready to deal with it.

I guess time will tell. But I think many Democratic voters, independent voters, will be holding their noses, voting AGAINST either Trump or DeSantis, and not necessarily think Biden is the best choice going forward for another 4 years. Not because of his actual mental acumen, which I'm not concerned with, but his perceived mental acumen, and the talented PR folks on the right who know how to milk that 100x over.

In my own personal opinion, Biden should have already indicated he will not be running again, so we can have the time to acclimatize the population to the idea to not only accept whomever comes out as the nominee but whom all Democrats, and liberal leaning independents can get excited about going into the future with.

I fell a few years back, carrying a box down the stairs and missed the last step and fell flat on my face-early sixties. Also fell about fifteen or twenty years ago in the house chasing my cat that was trying to attack my other cat. Young people fall all the time and break arms and legs. My nephew fell off his skateboard several years ago and broke his arm. Anyway, falls happen at all ages.
