Ex-Trump Attorney Chesebro Defends Fake Electors In Georgia, Claims They Were 'Duly Elected'
Source: Forbes via MSN
Former Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro made his latest legal attempt to defend himself against charges in Fulton County, Georgia, Monday, weeks before his case goes to trial, arguing a state court should throw out charges against him for helping orchestrate a “fake electors” scheme that submitted false slates of electors to Congress after the 2020 election—by dubiously claiming they weren’t falsely elected. Key Facts Chesebro was indicted in Fulton County for his alleged role in the fake electors plot—part of a broader effort to overturn the 2020 election—in which he allegedly encouraged the Trump campaign and GOP officials to submit false slates of electors to Congress claiming former President Donald Trump, rather than President Joe Biden, had won the states. Chesebro filed a motion trying to throw out two counts against him that charge him with conspiracy to commit false statements and writings as part of the fake electors scheme, before the case goes to trial. 13. Sure has, especially when he is arguing the very reason he was indicted to begin with.
Also he has not been truthful in his filing.

4. "He's gonna lose his law license too."
Somebody needs to get moving on making that happen as one group made the recommendation last year - https://www.reuters.com/legal/legalindustry/lawyer-group-says-trump-attorney-broke-ethics-rules-fake-elector-plan-2022-10-12/
This was their submission (PDF) - https://ldad.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Ethics-Complaint-against-Kenneth-Chesebro.pdf (he is licensed in NY) |

17. The GOP chooses them, not elects them
They're the people who get to represent the party when it's time to cast Electoral College votes--but their party then needs to win the state's votes for POTUS. Only then are they "elected and qualified" to cast Electoral College votes.
