Elon Musk has publicly endorsed an antisemitic conspiracy theory popular among White supremacists: that Jewish communities push "hatred against Whites."

That kind of overt thumbs up to an antisemitic post shocked even some of Musk's critics, who have long called him out for using racist or otherwise bigoted dog whistles on Twitter, now known as X. It was the multibillionaire's most explicit public statement yet endorsing anti-Jewish views.

ICYMI: Musk was responding to a post Wednesday that said Jewish communities "have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them." The post also referenced "hordes of minorities" flooding Western countries, a popular antisemitic conspiracy theory.

It's the kind of post you can find easily on X these days, and likely would have gone unnoticed had Musk, with more than 160 million followers, not re-shared the post with the comment: "You have said the actual truth."

In terms of privilege, Caucasian Jews are "white" until enough bigots decide that they're "Jews" instead.

My Caucasian family in nazi germany was not considered "white". Those who were able to get out and survive regained their whiteness.

Yes, in the US, most Jews appear to be white. We are "white adjacent". While most of us clearly understand we are seen as white most of the time (including the privilege that comes with it), and even see ourselves as white, when push comes to shove, the far-right, and yes, even the far-left, see as "outside" of white. When it comes to concerns about anti-Semitism, we are "white" and told to "shut up" because others have it worse, which mainly comes from the leftist extremists, unless anti-Semitim is coming from the right, then all of the sudden we have an army of Susan Collins' supporters. When it comes to support of various groups, Black folk, immigrants, LGBT, and others, we are told we aren't really "white" we are only "Jews" and are trying to "destroy the white man and culture", i.e. not really white. The last statement mostly comes from the far-right.
