Source: New York Daily News
An energized President Biden used his State of the Union address Thursday to launch his reelection bid by delivering an optimistic vision of the nation, stark warnings about former President Donald Trump, and a pledge to restore abortion across the country.
The state of the union is strong and getting stronger, Biden declared as Democrats chanted four more years.
I came to office determined to get us through one of the toughest periods in our nations history. And we have, Biden told the joint session of Congress.

(22,098 posts)He came out swinging, and kept at it. I like how MSNBC said he was surprisingly aggressive. I also especially liked his response to the naysayers-Just look at the facts. I know you can read!
And chastising the Supremes. I guess that's just never done, and was not in the script.
I also liked how Chuck Schummer insinuated himself between the President and Marge as they were coming down the aisle. She was classless, clueless, and tacky, as usual. A MAGAt hat? Seriously?
The only time I had to yell at the TV was when Johnson kept shaking his head and rolling his eyes, scrunched down in his seat. But then, I had the rethuglican response on mute.
So now, Predecessor, do you still want to debate The President, "immediately?"
I feel very proud and encouraged.
