Judge rules Georgia Republican Party vice chairman voted illegally

Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A judge ruled Wednesday that the Georgia Republican Party’s first vice chairman, Brian K. Pritchard, violated state election laws when he voted nine times while serving probation for a felony check forgery sentence.

Pritchard, a conservative talk show host, must pay a $5,000 fine and receive a public reprimand from the State Election Board, according to the decision by Administrative Law Judge Lisa Boggs.

A public reprimand! Seriously, is that all for voting nine times illegally! Crystal Mason was given a sentence of 5 yrs in Texas!

But that poor Black lady got thrown in jail for several years when she had only explained her situation to the poll workers, ASKED if she could vote, and then filled out a PROVISIONAL BALLOT. This is RIDICULOUS! The dictionary definition of the word PROVISIONAL should have been enough to get her case thrown out of court!

A white Republican voted 9 times as a felon and gets a fine.

A black women, legitimately under the impression she can legally vote, does so only once, gets 5 years in prison.

Got it.

Brian K. Pritchard, who illegally voted nine times while on probation for felony check forgery:

From the Guardian in 2022:

A white man got probation for voting fraud. A Black woman faced six years in prison for an error

In several prominent cases, Black people got harsher sentences for unintentional voting errors than whites who committed fraud

but they seem to be the ones doing the majority of the illegal voting.

It has already been mentioned that they cry loudly and deflect, saying others are doing what they themselves are doing.

Well, he got probation for felony check fraud (like everyone does) so it is reasonable for him to get probation for voting fraud. Only democrats belong in jail for crimes.

On his history - thankfully, voters had enough sense (even in a race with all 5 candidates Republican, so must be a right wing place) to only give him 6.2% of the vote):

Even as he inveighed against election fraud, the Republican, who announced his candidacy earlier this month for state House of Representatives, voted while serving a sentence for a $33,000 forgery and theft case, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.

Each vote cast broke the law, the Georgia attorney general’s office said last week, according to the Journal-Constitution. No sooner had Pritchard qualified on Monday to run in a special election to replace the late Speaker David Ralston, than he found himself defending his actions and saying his right to vote was intact and his sentence was long gone.
...
Pritchard runs local news site FetchYourNews.com. He is running against another Republican from northeast Georgia: David Ralston’s widow, Sheree Ralston. David Ralston died last month at age 68, not long after announcing he’d step down over health concerns.

The two will face off on Jan. 3, with a runoff on Jan. 31 if no one wins the first time.

But the Republican party thinks "forger" is a good qualification for a party vice chairman.
