1. Does anyone really question whether trump paid the $130,000? Think issue is can DA show

he did it in furtherance of the crime of election interference (and jury buys into that). I’m sure he did, but I wouldn’t have made it through jury selection.

2. It's easy. Cohen would have had to declare the $130,000 on his federal tax return

as reimbursement of a debt, in order not to pay taxes on that amount as "Income."

He could submit his 2016 Return as documentary support of his contention that he was paid back by Trump.

And the next question would be, "Why would you lend that amount of money to a Billionaire in the first place?"

3. Cohen reportedly *DID* pay taxes on it, reporting it as income and not reimbursement.

That's why Trump actually gave him far more than $130k, so he'd be able to report it as income and not reimbursement but still end up getting back the full $130k net after taxes.
