Democrats called for the words of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to be taken down after she refused to call former National Institutes of Health Director Anthony Fauci "doctor."

"Do the American people deserve to be abused like that, Mr. Fauci?" Greene asked. "Because you're not doctor, you're Mr. Fauci in my few minutes."

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) interrupted to say Greene was breaking committee rules.

"Mr. Chairman, just in terms of the rules of decorum, are we allowed to deny that a doctor is a doctor just because we don't want him to be a doctor?" Raskin said.

"Yes, because in my time, that man does not deserve to have a license," Greene shot back. "As a matter of fact, it should be revoked, and he belongs in prison."


"Suspend!" Republican Chairman Brad Wenstrup (OH) told Greene. "The gentlelady should recognize the doctor as a doctor."

I used to question whether Greene was actually as stupid as she seems. I no longer have any doubt that she is one of the stupidest people ever elected to Congress, and that is saying a lot.

She seems to have the delusion that she's in charge of a dictatorship. In fact, we still have elections in the U.S. and her behavior is not helping her party win elections.

I expect that the GOP will get rid of her, as they did Madison Cawthorn and, soon, Lauren Boebert. Cawthorn was replaced by an extreme right winger who knows how to keep his mouth shut while voting for atrocious bills. Margie's days in Congress will end one day, sooner rather than later, and nobody will remember her.
